The Domestic Sheep is one of the most important livestock species in human history. Ovis aries is the species from which most, if not all, domesticated sheep breeds today branch off, no matter how different from each other they may look.

They are typically and depending on culture used for their flesh, skin (leather), wool, horn, fat, bones and to mow meadows the most natural way while fertilizing the ground. In some places Domestic Goats (Capra hircus) fill that same niche.
