The Blue-and-yellow Macaw is one of the largest parrots in the world and sought after as pets and animals on display in zoos around the world for its striking colors. According to the Wikipedia, there were over 1 million of the birds found in captivity, while only around 10.000 birds remain in the wild. Blue-and-yellow Macaws can live for up to 35 years with proper care, community and nutrition.
